Joining Tutorial

Before you go ahead and make your account, it would be wise to read the following tutorial.

It would be preferred if you actually have your character's application/profile done before you sign up, but it's still fine if you don't, or if you wish to ask for ideas/get opinions.

Remember that you need to sign up with your wolf's name. First name only, preferably. That is, whatever the wolf goes by. If your character's name is say Bob Billy Genericlastname, and he goes by Billy, make his account Billy.

Before you fill out the profile, make sure you read the following guide.

Name This is your character's full name; First and last, and middle if they have one.

Gender Self explanitory? Male or female, please. Not masculine, feminine, etc. Just male or female.

Age Go by months and years please. .

Parents It would be preferred if you did fill this out. If your character was abandoned and adopted, don't say 'unknown'. At the very least, offer the adoptive parent/s.

Siblings This can be just the littermates, or half-siblings if you feel up for it. At the very least, you need to give the littermates.

Mate Leave blank if there's none. Or write n/a, whatever floats your boat.

    Pups Same as mate.

Physical Appearance This needs to be fairly lengthy. If you need help thinking of how to describe your character, think about the following things.
    - Build: Is your character heavily built, or is he or she petite?
    - Height: Does your character stand tall? How much of his or her height comes from her legs?
    - Fur texture: Does your wolf have longish, soft (or matted!) fur, or is it short and coarse (this does depend on season though).
    - Fur coloration: Describe the patterns and colors of your wolf's fur. It can be a whole lot of colors, really, have a look at wolf photos.
    - Masculinity/femininity: Does your wolf look heavily like one gender/is he or she masculine or feminine?
    - Face/muzzle/head: Is the muzzle long and tapered, or short and blocky? Are the ears in proportion to the head?
    - Eyes: What color are they? Are they large or small? NOTE: Unnatural eye colors, mutants excepted, are not allowed. You can only have a mutant eye color if you play a mutant (you'll need to ask an administrator about this). Blue as an eye color is not accepted unless your character is a wolf/dog hybrid. Guys, just try to stick to the spectrums of yellow, grey, brown, etc.

These things don't need to all be included, but can be included if you need help with length.

Personality Personality may be a bit difficult. It needs to be fairly lengthy, but again, if you're having trouble with length, you can refer to the following list
    - How well does your character deal with others? Overly antisocial wolves are a bit of a cliche, but whatever floats your boat.
    - Does he or she have any particular likes or dislikes?
    - ... and so on.

History Histories really should start at the START, or earlier if you feel that a backstory is necessary. Try not to include too much unnecessary information before your character's birth, however.

If you're having trouble with making up a history, think about things like your character's relation with his/her siblings, or the rest of the pack, or the parents. Try to be creative, pack massacres are kind of common by this point. As is human interference.

If your character is an adult, you have at least two years of happenings that could have happened, so it shouldn't be that hard to use your imagination.

If your character is a pup, histories obviously don't need to be extremely long. Especially if it's a pup adopted from a litter on the site. In that case, they don't need to really have histories beyond maybe, the circumstances of their birth/conception (as in, was it consensual, etc.)
